Looking for MacWhisper on Windows or Linux?
MacWhisper is a Mac app, and there is no Windows or Linux version. TrueScribe runs Whisper locally on Windows and Linux and keeps the work after the transcript in the same app.

Whisper on Windows and Linux
TrueScribe runs Whisper on your own machine and picks a model that suits your hardware, downloading it once on first use. CPU and Vulkan runtimes are both supported, so you do not need a particular graphics card. There is no account and no upload queue.
The work after the transcript
Play back against the waveform and correct the text with undo and redo. Search your library, ask AI Research about a transcript, and export TXT, SRT or WebVTT for free. Pro adds speaker detection and naming, local translation, batch transcription, media links and richer exports.
Free first, Pro once
Free covers unlimited local-file transcription, editing, search and subtitle export. Pro is a one-time purchase for up to three devices, not a subscription.
Working only on a Mac?
TrueScribe does not run on macOS. If every machine you use is a Mac, MacWhisper is built for it. TrueScribe is for the recordings you work with on Windows and Linux.
