These terms govern your use of TrueScribe Free and TrueScribe Pro. By installing, using or purchasing TrueScribe, you agree to them.

1. Agreement and authority

You may use TrueScribe only if you can enter into a binding agreement. If you use it for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for that organisation.

2. The product and its results

TrueScribe is a desktop application for recording, transcription, speaker processing, translation, editing and related AI-assisted work. Speech recognition, translation, speaker detection and AI output can contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing important results before relying on, publishing or acting on them. TrueScribe does not provide legal, medical or other professional advice.

3. Pro licence and seat limits

A Pro purchase gives the licence holder a limited, non-exclusive right to use the Pro features. The standard licence allows up to two active devices. Each active device occupies one seat, even when the same person uses several devices. A multi-seat order may be used by authorised users belonging to the purchasing person or organisation, up to the activation limit stated in the order confirmation. Extra devices or users require sufficient purchased seats.

4. Licence keys and device changes

Keep your licence key confidential. You must not publish, sell, rent, sublicense or share it with anyone who is not covered by your purchased seats. You must not bypass activation controls or use one key beyond its activation limit. TrueScribe may validate a key and its active devices online. You can release an activated device after it has been active for at least seven full days, then use the available seat on a replacement device. Contact support if you lose access to a device or believe a key was blocked incorrectly.

5. Your content and lawful use

You keep your rights in recordings, transcripts and other content you process. You are responsible for having the necessary rights and permissions, including any consent required to record or transcribe other people. Do not use TrueScribe to violate the law, another person's rights or applicable recording and privacy rules.

6. Cloud and third-party services

Optional cloud models, remote endpoints, stores and payment services are operated by third parties. Their terms, privacy policies, usage limits and charges apply when you choose them. You are responsible for your provider accounts and API keys. TrueScribe is not responsible for a third party's service, output, availability or handling of data.

7. Features, updates and availability

The Free and Pro feature sets may change as the product, operating systems, models and third-party services evolve. A one-time Pro purchase does not require a recurring TrueScribe licence fee, but it does not include third-party usage charges or guarantee that every current feature, integration or model will remain available indefinitely. We may provide changes needed for security, compatibility or legal compliance.

8. Purchases, refunds and licence status

Prices, taxes and checkout terms are shown before purchase. Refunds and withdrawal rights are governed by the checkout or store terms and any mandatory rights that apply to you. A refunded, reversed or disputed purchase may cause its Pro licence to be suspended. We may also suspend a key used fraudulently, shared without authorisation or used in material breach of these terms.

9. Warranty and liability

TrueScribe is provided with the level of care required by applicable law, but we do not promise uninterrupted operation or perfectly accurate results. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability, warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the product or legal requirements change. The page shows the current revision date. Updates apply only to the extent permitted by law and do not remove rights you already have under mandatory law.
